BENEFIT CONCERT AT THE SAINT-EUSTACHE CHURCH

BENEFIT CONCERT AT THE SAINT-EUSTACHE CHURCH

SEASON PARTNER

Saint-Eustache

The national historic site of the Saint-Eustache church, with its world-class acoustics, will be the venue of the equally historic return of the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal for a grand benefit concert on August 24, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. The OSM returns to the place it made 80 recordings over 22 years, half of which garnered international awards.

The Fondation de l’église historique de Saint-Eustache is pleased to present this benefit concert in support of its 2018-2022 fundraising campaign. In addition to its work to restore the church and bring it up to standard, the Fondation is working diligently to complete the Centre d’interprétation de la démocratie et de la citoyenneté (Democracy and citizenship interpretation centre).

The OSM will evoke a rich palette of emotion when it presents excerpts from works that are etched into our collective musical memories. You’ll be captivated by the amorous intrigues set to music in Carmen by Bizet, in Romeo and Juliet by Tchaikovsky, and in the Violin Concerto no. 2 by Mendelssohn, an icon of romantic passion.
