Among the jury who each year judge the talent and the level of excellence of the artists participating in the OSM Standard Life Competition are OSM musicians, fabled teachers, instrumentalists and singers, as well as world-renowned conductors and artistic directors.
 

CHAIRMAN OF THE JURY:

• Mervon Mehta, Executive Director of Performing Arts at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto.

• Welz Kauffman – President and CEO of the Ravinia Festival
• Kent Nagano – Musical Director of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal

Please note that the judges of the semifinals are also judging the finals of the OSM Standard Life Competition.

• Yoheved Kaplinsky – Chair of the piano department at the Julliard School

Percussion category:

• Colin Currie – Percussionist
• Cynthia Yeh – Principal percussion of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra
