A South American Voyage with Rafael Payare and Javier Perianes
A South American Voyage with Rafael Payare and Javier Perianes
Maison symphonique de Montréal
The OSM and Rafael Payare welcome pianist Javier Perianes for a musical excursion to South America. Explore the Brazil of Villa-Lobos in his Bachiana no. 8 and Ginastera’s Argentina through his Variaciones concertantes. At the centre of this program is the Montreal premiere of Ephemerae by López Bellido, a piano concerto conceived as a musical transliteration of various fragrances. The Hispanic inflections of Ravel’s Bolero complete this ear-opening program.
