The OSM’s double bass section will take centre stage during this unconventional concert. Eight double basses will perform in the spirit of unity and fraternity that characterizes Pärt’s Fratres. From 16th-century composer Gesualdo’s daring harmonies to the wondrous world inspired by Balinese music in Vivier’s Pulau Dewata, these performers will reveal this instrument’s infinite universe of sonic and expressive possibilities.
