The vocal and period-instrument ensemble L’Harmonie des saisons devotes itself to its members’ most cherished repertoire and offers a major series of sacred music concerts featuring early music masterpieces. Operating in the heart of the Eastern Townships, the ensemble regularly performs on tour throughout Quebec, Canada, the United States, South America, and Europe. The ensemble often teams up with various collaborators to present the foremost works of the repertoire, which have included Handel’s Messiah and Bach’s St. John Passion and St. Matthew Passion. L’Harmonie des saisons also took part in a performance series of Bach’s complete cantatas, pioneered by the Arte Musica Foundation and Montreal Museum of Fine Arts’ Bourgie Hall. With six recordings to its credit, the ensemble has won a Juno and two Opus awards, while its album Badinages, dedicated to the music of Marin Marais, was selected by Apple Music to be among an international offering of best classical recordings for the year 2021.
