Schools that benefit from the Une école montréalaise pour tous support program or schools with a socioeconomic environment index (SEI) decile rank of 8, 9 or 10 may take advantage of the preferential rate.

CHAPERONES:

Elementary school
Each group of 15 students will receive one complimentary ticket.

High school and higher education
Each group of 30 students will receive one complimentary ticket.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

    • Reservation changes are accepted up to 15 days before the concert.
    • We cannot accept changes to the number of participants after the concert.
    • If you want to cancel your reservation, we need to be advised in writing six weeks prior to the concert, at the latest. If those deadlines are not respected, the school will have to pay the whole amount of the original invoice.
    • Once an order has been paid, there can be no refunds.
    • We accept payments by cheque, credit card and bank transfer.

Schools that benefit from the Une école montréalaise pour tous support program or schools with a socioeconomic environment index (SEI) decile rank of 8, 9 or 10 may take advantage of the preferential rate.

WORKSHOP DETAILS:

  • Duration: 45 to 50 minutes
  • Maximum number of participants: 30 students per workshop
  • For logistical reasons, a minimum of two workshop periods must be booked for a musician to visit the school.
  • The workshop is given by one musician. A $190 charge, tax included, applies for each additional musician.
  • An additional travel fee of $0.59/km will apply if your school is located more than 60 km from the Maison symphonique de Montréal.

WORKSHOP DETAILS:

  • Maximum number of participants: 65 students per workshop
  • An additional travel fee of $0.59/km will apply if your school is located more than 60 km from the Maison symphonique de Montréal.

USEFUL INFORMATION

  • It is the responsibility of teachers and accompanying adults to ensure their students’ good behaviour.
  • School Matinees are presented without intermission.
  • Please arrive 30 to 45 minutes before your concert time. Latecomers will only be admitted at the appropriate time, determined by the conductor.
  • No eating or drinking is permitted in the concert hall.
  • All floors of the Maison symphonique have restrooms.
  • Checkroom service is not provided during School Matinees. Students must keep their coats and accessories with them.

SCHOOL BUSES

Schools are responsible for arranging and reserving their transportation to the Maison symphonique de Montréal.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Place-des-Arts station 

You can go directly to the concert hall without going outside! However, the Place-des-Arts station is not equipped with an elevator.

Berri-UQAM station

Located 900 meters from the Maison symphonique, this station is wheelchair accessible and has an elevator. Go west along De Maisonneuve Boulevard, along the pavement or the bike path, and you will arrive directly in front of the hall’s entrance.

COVID-19

  • Students and their teachers are exempt from the requirement to present their vaccination passport while on a school trip.
  • Face coverings are mandatory for students, teachers, ushers and staff at all times.
