ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

A MUSICIAN AT YOUR SCHOOL

An OSM musician meets with your students to talk about their background, their instrument, and their life as an orchestra musician. This workshop includes a short musical performance and a Q&A portion. It is available in person or online.

Our workshop themes this season:

  • The Oboe (in French)
  • The Violin (in French)
  • The Violin and the Strings Family (in French)
  • The Trombone and the Brass Family (in French)

WORKSHOP DETAILS:

  • Duration: 45 to 50 minutes
  • Maximum number of participants: 30 students per workshop
  • For logistical reasons, a minimum of two workshop periods must be booked for a musician to visit the school.
  • The workshop is given by one musician. A $190 charge, tax included, applies for each additional musician.
  • An additional travel fee of $0.59/km will apply if your school is located more than 60 km from the Maison symphonique de Montréal.

HIGH SCHOOL

CHAMBER MUSIC CONCERT AND WORKSHOP

Offer a chamber music concert to your students! A small ensemble of OSM musicians visits your school to give an intimate performance of classical works, followed by a Q&A session.

WORKSHOP DETAILS:

    • Duration: 45 to 60 minutes
    • Maximum number of participants: 65 students per workshop
    • For logistical reasons, a minimum of two workshop periods must be booked for a musician to visit the school.
  • The workshop is available in person only
  • An additional travel fee of $0.59/km will apply if your school is located more than 60 km from the Maison symphonique de Montréal.

HIGHER EDUCATION

MASTER CLASSES

The OSM, in partnership with various institutions of higher education, offers music students the opportunity to take part in master classes with its world-renowned guest artists. Not only do they allow students to learn from an expert, but the audience also discovers artists and anecdotes about the works performed. These performance classes are open to the public, you are welcome to join us!
