Jean-Marc Leclerc studied at the Conservatoire de musique de Québec with Claude Létourneau, at Université Laval with György Terebesi, at the Banff Centre with David Cerone and at the Meadowmount School of Music with Jean Angers. He joined the ranks of the OSM in 1989.
