After learning the piano as a youngster, Sylvie Lambert decided to pursue a career in music at the age of 17. At the Conservatoire de musique de Trois-Rivières, she continued piano studies with Antoine Reboulot, also learning the cello with Michael Kilburn before perfecting her skills with Philippe Muller and Yuli Turovsky. She performed her first concert with the OSM in 1979, at a special venue … the Maurice Richard Arena!
