Cancelled – Finley and Thibaudet Revisit Schumann and Ravel
Maison symphonique de Montréal
An exceptional duo takes to the Maison symphonique stage. GRAMMY Award-winning Canadian bass-baritone Gerald Finley, flanked by one of the most esteemed pianists in the world, Jean-Yves Thibaudet from France, combine talents in their performance of magnificent art songs, a genre they both master exquisitely. These two icons of the international music scene offer Schumann’s Dichterliebe (Poet’s Love) – dedicated to the composer’s beloved Clara, whom he had just wed – and Histoires naturelles – revealing Ravel’s humour – alongside works by Schubert, Fauré, Cole Porter and Louis Emanuel.
