One of today’s most acclaimed and admired pianists, Yefim Bronfman’s commanding technique, power and exceptional lyrical gifts are consistently acknowledged by the press and by audiences alike.   The 2022–2023 season began with the opening week of the Chicago Symphony followed by return visits to the New York Philharmonic and to the Pittsburgh, Houston, Philadelphia, New World, Pacific, Madison, New Jersey, Toronto and Montreal symphony orchestras. He also tours Europe with many major orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, Maggio Fiorentino, and Zurich Opera orchestras.   Born in Tashkent, former Soviet Union, Yefim Bronfman studied at Tel Aviv University, The Juilliard School, Marlboro School of Music, and Curtis Institute of Music, under Rudolf Firkusny, Leon Fleisher, and Rudolf Serkin. He is a recipient of the prestigious Avery Fisher Prize, as well as the Jean Gimbel Lane prize in performance from Northwestern University, among many other honours. Yefim Bronfman holds the honorary doctorate from the Manhattan School of Music.
