SEASON PRESENTING PARTNER
Maison symphonique de Montréal
One of today’s most prominent violinists, Gil Shaham performs Bartók’s dazzlingly virtuosic Violin Concerto no. 2, under the baton of Vasily Petrenko. A rising star of the new generation of conductors, Petrenko also conducts Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet, one of the composer’s most famous works, and the overture to the opera Maskarade by Danish composer Nielsen. The latter composer’s Clarinet Concerto showcases OSM Principal Clarinet Todd Cope.

Only on the April 16 7 P.M.
