The OSM, in partnership with various post-secondary institutions, offers music students the opportunity to take part in master classes with its world-renowned guest artists. These performance classes are open to the public. Not only do they allow students to learn from an expert but the audience also discovers artists and anecdotes about the works performed. You are welcome to join us!
MASTER CLASSES OFFERED BY THE OSM GUEST ARTISTS
October 16, 2021 - 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The Canadian International Organ Competition and the OSM are joining forces to offer a masterclass that should not be missed! For this event, we have the pleasure of welcoming Louis Robillard, organist, performer, and Professor Emeritus at the Conservatoire de Lyon, also a member of the international jury for the CIOC this year. For this masterclass, you will be allotted a place on the Maison symphonique stage and enjoy privileged access to this prestigious venue. Each of the three organists will perform a work from the organ repertoire, followed by valuable advice from Professor Robillard for them—and by extension, for the benefit of the public in attendance.
On the program:
César Franck, Grande pièce symphonique (excerpts)
César Franck, Choral no. 2
César Franck, Choral no. 1
