STRAVINSKY’S THE SOLDIER’S TALE

Digital concert,
recommended for high school students

Starting March 10, 2021 at 9 a.m.

In the company of an ensemble of OSM Soloists, follow the unfortunate adventures of a soldier struggling with the devil, with memorable performances from the Black Theatre Workshop artists Chimwemwe Miller, Tristan D. Lalla and Warona Setshwaelo. The Soldier’s Tale, which grew out of deep collaboration between Stravinsky and the Swiss writer Ramuz, is an eminently original work embracing theatre, stage music and comedy. Its good-natured atmosphere and jazz and ragtime accents reflect the spirit of Paris during the Belle Époque.

To complement and enrich your students’ concert experience, we have developed specific teaching resources for them as well as activities to do after their viewing.
