Current section violist in the Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal, Emily Rekrut-Pressey recently completed her Master of Music degree at Yale University. Since receiving her undergraduate degree from McGill University, Emily is thrilled to be back in Montreal and overjoyed to be rejoining the community and playing with the OSM.

An enthusiastic chamber musician, she has participated in the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, Kneisel Hall Summer Music Program and McGill International String Quartet Academy, and won the Yale and McGill Chamber Music Competitions and McGill Classical Concerto Competition with various ensembles. Apart from playing, Emily enjoys biking, jumping in lakes and hunting for the best cinnamon buns in her hometown of Winnipeg, MB.
