Support for Emerging Artists
Orchestral Immersion
Whether it is by promoting music education, supporting young artists in their careers, or offering them practical experience in a professional setting, the OSM has always been committed to supporting the next generation. It was in this spirit that the Orchestral Immersion program was created, an initiative that allows young musicians in training to immerse themselves in the symphonic experience and perfect their art alongside the musicians of the Orchestra.

A project to support the next generation of musicians
Since 2022, the Orchestral Immersion project has offered emerging musicians a unique opportunity: to become full members of the OSM. This initiative aims to:
Offer students the opportunity to gain professional experience at the heart of a symphony orchestra.
Provide personalized support through mentoring workshops with OSM musicians.
Encourage dialogue between students, OSM members, and Rafael Payare in a discussion about the profession of orchestral musicians.
Allow participants to take part in rehearsals and a concert at the Maison symphonique.

2026 Edition
For its fourth edition, the OSM is pleased to welcome around fifteen music students, selected through an online audition process. The selected students will have the opportunity to participate in a regular season program under the direction of Rafael Payare, performing Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 7 on April 15 and 16 at the Maison symphonique.
