ViolinDutch violinist Simone Lamsma is celebrated by critics, peers and audiences as one of classical music’s most striking and captivating musical personalities.
A sought-after soloist with an extensive repertoire, Simone has graced the stages of many of the world’s leading ensembles, including the New York and Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestras, Chicago, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Dallas, Cincinnati and National Symphony Orchestras, London Symphony, BBC Symphony and Philharmonic, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, and Seoul Philharmonic. She has collaborated with an impressive roster of conductors such as Jaap van Zweden, Antonio Pappano, Rafael Payare, Osmo Vänskä, Gianandrea Noseda, Jonathon Heyward, Simone Young, Andris Poga, Jader Bignamini and Gustavo Gimeno, enjoying frequent repeat engagements.
After opening her 2025-26 season in Australia with the Melbourne and West Australian Symphony Orchestras, Simone’s engagements span North America, Europe and Asia with the Seattle, Baltimore, Estonian National and Belgian National Symphony Orchestras, the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale
della RAI, and the Rotterdam, Seoul, Royal Liverpool, and BBC Philharmonic Orchestras, among others.
Her discography includes her 2024 release, Pärt über Bach with the Amsterdam Sinfonietta, featuring double concertos; and in 2022, her recording of late works by Rautavaara, including world premières, with the Malmö Symphony and Robert Treviño for Ondine.
