Renée Fleming: Voice of Nature

2026-2027

When Renée Fleming lends her voice to the Earth, music becomes conscience. With Voice of Nature: The Anthropocene, the celebrated soprano unites art and ecology in a visual and sonic project in collaboration with National Geographic, inviting us to contemplate the fragile beauty of our planet through a lyrical repertoire spanning the 19th century to today. Under Rafael Payare’s vibrant direction, this program evokes nature in all its forms: the cosmic wonder of composer-in-residence Jimmy López in First Contact, inspired by the 2024 solar eclipse, and the luminous sensuality of Debussy in Ibéria, a portrait of an imagined Spain. A concert where images, emotions, and music converse to celebrate the warmth of life.
