Canadian pianist Jaeden Izik-Dzurko, who launched a stellar career after winning the 2022 OSM Competition, the 2024 Concours musical international de Montréal and the Leeds International Piano Competition, takes the stage in this intimate concert hosted by Philippe-Audrey Larrue-St-Jacques. Hear him perform Grieg’s Piano Concerto, a piece known for its captivating mix of lyricism and vigour. Jessica Cottis
conductorThis season, conductor Jessica Cottis begins her fifth season as Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of the Canberra Symphony Orchestra, and her third season as Artistic Partner of the Västerås Sinfonietta.
Cottis’ recent highlights include two consecutive years opening the Aldeburgh Festival (in 2025 with the world premiere of Colin Matthews’ opera A Visit to Friends), and guest engagements with orchestras across the globe including the Real Filarmonica de Galicia, Queensland Symphony, Edmonton Symphony, National Radio Orchestra of Romania, Turku Philharmonic, Gavle Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, and the National Arts Centre Orchestra, Ottawa and the National Youth Orchestra of Ireland. She has recorded for the BBC, ABC, and Decca Classics labels.
In the 2025-2026 season, Cottis will appear with the Philharmonia Orchestra, Malmo Symphony Orchestra, Belgian National Orchestra, Adelaide Symphony, Danish Philharmonic and Calgary Philharmonic, and will conduct three programmes with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, including a concert performance of Bizet’s Carmen.
Cottis grew up on her family’s sheep farm in Australia and now resides in Stockholm. Outside of music, she is an avid lepidopterist!

Jaeden Izik-Dzurko
PianoCanadian pianist Jaeden Izik-Dzurko, winner of the 2024 Dame Fanny Waterman Gold Medal at the Leeds International Piano Competition and the Grand Prize at the Concours Musical International de Montréal, is a current Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellow.
The 2025/26 season features high profile debut performances at London’s Wigmore Hall, San Francisco’s Davies Symphony Hall, Leipzig Gewandhaus, and Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie. Jaeden will also appear as soloist with the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal and the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, alongside returns to the Kamloops Symphony, Edmonton Symphony, and the National Arts Centre Orchestra. His programs feature works by Chopin, Brahms, Grieg, and Rachmaninoff, with collaborations with conductors Jessica Cottis, Gemma New, and Alexander Shelley.
Past highlights include performances at Carnegie Hall, Salle Cortot, Madrid’s Auditorio Nacional, and with orchestras such as Edmonton Symphony, Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa, and Oxford Philharmonic. He has worked with conductors including Domingo Hindoyan, Joseph Swensen and John Storgårds.
Jaeden’s accolades include first prizes at the Hilton Head, Maria Canals, and Paloma O’Shea Santander competitions. Born in British Columbia with Hungarian-Ukrainian heritage, Jaeden formerly attended the Juilliard School and now studies with Jacob Leuschner at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold and Benedetto Lupo at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia.
