First violins
Marc Béliveau
Marc Béliveau is a violinist in the first violin section of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal. A member of the OSM since 1990, he studied at McGill University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in performance. In 1989, he was awarded first prize in McGill University’s Concerto Competition. In addition to his career with the Orchestra, Marc Béliveau offers private violin lessons. He chose to become a musician for the joy of creating music as part of a group—a joy that has sustained his successful career with the OSM over the years.
