Alex Liedtke
Alex Liedtke is principal oboe of the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, appointed by music director Rafael Payare in 2024. Alex is a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Music, studying under Elizabeth Camus, and was previously a member of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, North Carolina Symphony, and the orchestra at the Grant Park Music Festival before coming to Montréal. Outside of the OSM, Alex is passionate about historical performance practice of renaissance and baroque music (on the modern oboe) and also enjoys playing various types of traditional music on the accordion.
