Annie Guénette
Annie Guénette’s professional journey spans over three decades. Trained at the Université de Montréal, the University of Michigan, and McGill University, she also distinguished herself at the Prix d’Europe (laureate, 2008). Her career includes numerous tours and appearances at festivals across Europe, where she notably worked closely with Maxim Vengerov. Beyond her classical music pursuits, this versatile artist proudly contributed to the recording of The King of Limbs, the acclaimed album by legendary British band Radiohead — a rare achievement!
Annie is deeply passionate about orchestral music. For her, the collective synergy of musicians yields results far greater than the sum of individual talents. Joining the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (OSM) is a dream opportunity to unite her love of the violin with the power of ensemble performance.
A highly valued substitute with the OSM for many years, Annie was granted tenure in May 2025. She now joins the first violin section of the Orchestra, bringing with her a wealth of experience and heartfelt dedication.
