Corey Rae is a percussionist with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal. A member of the OSM since 2020, he completed a master’s degree at the Hochschule der Künste Bremen and pursued private studies with Wieland Welzel, timpanist with the Berlin Philharmonic. In addition to his orchestral career, he is also a professor at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal.

Corey’s calling to music came at the age of 13, when he attended a percussion concert featuring a wide array of instruments, including marimba and African drums. That performance inspired him to pursue percussion, driven by a desire to recreate the same joy and contagious energy the concert had sparked in him.
