Justine Lefebvre
Justine has been a member of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal’s cello section since 2025. In 2024, she earned her master’s degree with distinction from the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, where she studied with Carole Sirois. As part of her studies, she made her solo debut at Montreal’s Maison symphonique with the Orchestre symphonique du Conservatoire. She also served as principal cello of the Sherbrooke Symphony Orchestra and performed as a section cellist with the Orchestre symphonique de Drummondville and the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra.
Justine’s first experience with the OSM came through its orchestral immersion program in 2023. In the meantime, she further honed her orchestral training by taking part twice in the National Arts Centre Orchestra’s mentorship program, and she was also invited to participate in the second edition of Les Violons du Roy’s Émergence program.
Justine has received several scholarships from the Fondation de Soutien aux Arts de Laval, as well as the Monique-Barry Scholarship awarded by the Conservatoire Foundation.
