
Michael Sundell
Michael Sundell is the Contrabassoonist with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, where he has been anchoring the low end of the woodwind section since 2011. A graduate of the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati (B.M.) and Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music (M.M.), he also serves on the faculty of the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal, mentoring the next generation of wind players with the same dedication he brings to performance.
Beyond the concert stage, Michael is a certified clinical hypnotherapist who specializes in helping musicians overcome performance anxiety and other challenges unique to the profession.
Most importantly, he holds the coveted title of Best Uncle, unanimously awarded by his nieces and nephews.
