A member of the OSM since 2024, he holds a Bachelor of Music from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music as a student of Richard Hawkins, as well as a Master of Music and Graduate Certificate degree from the University of Southern California studying with Yehuda Gilad. He decided to pursue a career in music while performing with the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra during the opening concert of Riccardo Muti’s inaugural season with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Sitting on stage before an audience of 25,000 people at Millennium Park in downtown Chicago, he knew this was the path he wanted to follow.
Since then, he has performed with numerous orchestras, including the Pittsburgh, Detroit, Toronto, Baltimore, Atlanta, and St. Louis Symphony Orchestras, as well as the New York and Los Angeles Philharmonics. Ryan is also a Buffet Crampon and Vandoren Performing Artist/Clinician.
