Serge Desgagnés holds the position of principal percussionist with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra. A member of the OSM since 1997, he earned a Premier Prix in percussion and solfege at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal. In addition to his musical accomplishments, Serge also holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the Université de Montréal—a profession he practiced until recently.
Serge became a musician because of his passion for percussion, which he nurtured since his early childhood.
