First Assistant Cello
Tavi Ungerleider began playing music with his mother, who was a piano teacher, and has always felt passionately about the art. He studied cello with Ronald Feldman in Boston, at the Juilliard School with Joel Krosnick in a joint program with Columbia University, and with Frans Helmerson at the Kronberg Academy. Mindful of the musical innovations of our time, he has performed with Béla Fleck and Leonard Slatkin, and has appeared in the TV series Masterclass featuring Michael Tilson Thomas.
