On August 13th, take part in the Virée classique’s unmissable opening concert, a free and festive event that brings together thousands of music lovers under the stars every summer!
Directed by Rafael Payare and hosted by André Robitaille, this great musical event offers a varied and inspiring program, highlighting the 150th birthday of composer Mikis Theodorakis.
A memorable evening to spend with family or friends, in a unique atmosphere in the heart of Montreal!
Nature in music!
The 2025 Virée Classique celebrates nature with a rich and diverse indoor concert program! Rediscover iconic works like Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony, Debussy’s La Mer and Holst’s The Planets, which will open the festival. Families will also be charmed by Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals, presented in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Rafael Payare, the OSM and its choir will share the stage with renowned artists such as Martin Helmchen, Marie-Elisabeth Hecker, Beth Taylor, Andrew Wan and Dina Gilbert.
The next generation, OSM Competition winners, and amateur musicians will also be part of the celebration!
