Marie-Sophie Pollak
Marie-Sophie Pollak is a graduate of the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich. Initial highlights of her concert career were in Haydn’s The Seasons conducted by Kent Nagano and Handel’s Susanna at the Vienna Musikverein. Since that time, she has been in demand as a guest of leading early music festivals, opera houses, orchestras and conductors, including the Akademie fur Alte Music Berlin and Alexander Liebriech, the Hamburg State Orchestra and Kent Nagano, the Vox Orchestra and Lorenzo Ghirlanda, and the Camerata Salzburg and Sir Roger Norrington.
In 2017, she recorded three cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach on texts by Martin Luther with Chorus Musicus Köln for Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, an album that won the ECHO Klassik Award that year for best recording of a choral work. With her Ensemble 392, Marie-Sophie Pollak has also recorded a programme of French Baroque cantatas on the Fra Bernardo label.
