Europe Tour 2024 – Barbican – London
From November 19 to 30, for its 59th international tour, the OSM will visit six countries and perform in eight of Europe’s most prestigious concert halls: London, Luxembourg, Paris, Hamburg, Berlin, Amsterdam, Munich, and Vienna!
On this occasion, the 104 musicians of the Orchestra, under the direction of Rafael Payare, will be joined by internationally renowned soloists: Daniil Trifonov, embarking on his second tour with the OSM after a successful collaboration in the United States in 2016, and Spanish pianist Javier Perianes, who will join the Orchestra for the opening concert at the Barbican in London. From one concert to the next, the Orchestra will shine with a remarkable program featuring Beethoven’s *Piano Concerto No. 1*, Schumann’s *Piano Concerto in A minor*, Berlioz’s *Symphonie fantastique* and *Roman Carnival*, Strauss’s *Alpine Symphony (Eine Alpensinfonie)*, as well as *Jeder Baum spricht*, a work by Iranian-Canadian composer Iman Habibi. The recently acquired carillon bells will also be part of the tour, marking their first performance outside the walls of the Maison symphonique.
