Tchaikovsky’s Poignant Symphony no. 5 ^2024-2025

Known internationally for her thrilling energy on the podium, Tianyi Lu was First Prize winner of both the 2020 Sir Georg Solti International Conductors’ Competition and the International Conducting Competition “Guido Cantelli” in Italy. She collaborates with major orchestras worldwide. In the 2024–2025 season, Tianyi Lu make her debut at the BBC Proms in London with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, as well as other debut appearances with the New York Philharmonic, San Diego Symphony Orchestra and hr-Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt. Return engagements include appearances with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, MDR Sinfonieorchester Leipzig, Turku Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and Seattle Symphony Orchestra. Tianyi Lu completed her Master of Music in Orchestral Conducting with Distinction at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2015. Lu was a former Dudamel Fellow with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Assistant Conductor of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra from 2017 to 2019.
