Jeanne Corpataux-Blache
Jeanne Corpataux-Blache is a double bassist in the string section of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal. A member of the OSM since 2025, she completed her studies at McGill University under Ali Yazdanfar. From 2020 to 2025, she held the position of Assistant Principal Double Bass with the Orchestre symphonique de Québec.
Passionate about hip hop and beatmaking, Jeanne also plays electric bass and double bass on several jazz, pop, and rock albums. She is the music producer behind the last three albums of rapper Sensei H.
Her love for music was passed down by her first teachers, Isabelle Lessard and Mathieu Désy, as well as by her grandfather, a classical music enthusiast and ethnomusicologist. It is thanks to them, among others, that Jeanne became a musician!
