Sylvain Murray has been a cellist with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal since 2007. He studied at the Conservatoire de musique de Chicoutimi and at McGill University. Before joining the OSM, Sylvain was a member of Les Violons du Roy from 2003 to 2007, and worked as a stage manager at McGill University from 2000 to 2004.

He became a musician because he was inspired by… the OSM itself! Outside of his orchestral career, Sylvain is passionate about coffee and the Montreal Canadiens.
